At any given time, I have about 5-10 various snacks in my purse. Why do I do this? So I don’t go insane and eat something crappy when the hungry monster strikes. Also, I’ve found if I don’t have a good, nutritious snack before an afternoon/evening workout, I perform like crap.
I normally re-stock my snack arsenal about once a week. The usual suspects include: Lara bars, Luna bars, Zone bars, Kashi bars, and Fruit & Nut bars. At this current time, my purse is stocked with the following:
- 1 Kashi Pumpkin Pie Bar
- 2 Lara Bars
- 2 Amazing Grass Super Food Bars
- 2 Stretch Island Fruit Co. Bars
- 1 Kind Fruit & Nut bar
- 4 Packets of Amazing Grass Super Food
- 1 Packet of Amazing Grass Wheat Grass
- 2 packets of Starbucks Via Medium Roast (This girl needs her caffeine).
So what do you keep as a go-to good-for-you snack?
Look at all those snacks! Go you!! I usually keep almonds in my purse.
i almost always carry an apple in my purse.
I’m going to have to pick up some of this. I stop by fast food if I get hungry and I can’t be doing that if I’m going to do b-pics.
Seriously, you should try it. I stash a ton in there (obviously), so I always have it on hand!
I usually have a miniclif bar in my purse. In the morning I usually grab a banana and raw almonds to snack on while at work.

I try to keep an apple (in a sandwich bag) in my purse. I also think my water bottle is an extension of who I am. I am a fan of keeping Kashi and Cliff bars in my purse. Any bars beat a weak moment with a bag of popcorn at Target or a fast food moment.
