I’m back with it. I weighed in this morning at 136.8. A small setback, but I can definitely overcome it.

I ate well yesterday, stayed right at 1300 calories. I did level 1 of the Shred, and I could tell I hadn’t worked out in a few days. It seemed a little tougher than before.

Either way, I feel better since I’m back at it.

I also thought about it, and even if I lose that last 5lbs, it will not affect my dress because the fitted part is over my rib cage… And theres no flab over my rib cage. So I’m not worried.

I fell off

I fell off the wagon for few days. It started Friday and lasted all weekend. I was okay on Monday (minus the mac & cheese at dinner), and Brandon’s surgery today didn’t make things easy.

But tomorrow is a new day. I checked out “The Abs Diet” from the library, and I plan on following it for the next 25 days. That reminds me… I need to get some protein powder to make some yummy smoothies.

Aunt Flo apparently didn’t read my little letter.

I ate like crap all weekend: McDonalds, Outback, Cake, Olive Garden… I did go for a 2 mile walk though.

And my mom has forbidden me from losing any more weight. She’s cheap and doesn’t want to spend any more money on alterations.

Aunt Flo,

Let’s make a deal: You can come, stay for a few days, but this time, PLEASE DO NOT CAUSE AS MUCH DAMAGE AS USUAL. I know it will be hard for you to resist the chocolate and other goodies, but C’mon… I gotta lose 5 more lbs before this wedding. Help a girl out! I understand you think it’s fun to come over and make me gain an unnecessary 3 or so pounds of bloat, but I haven’t even started yet, and you’ve kicked me up to 136.6. If there’s anything I can do to influence your behavior in a positive manner, let me know.

31 days…

I will be married in 31 days. In 32 days, I will be in St. Lucia. That means bikinis… and lots of them.

Last night I took Cosmo, our overweight golden retriever, on a 2 mile walk/jog around the apartment complex. It only confirmed my fears: I think I’ve developed a shin splint on my left shin. I woke up in pure agony Tuesday night. I felt it during my easy jogging yesterday. *sigh* I am so not excited about this. Even though I ate hummus and pita chips last night after dinner, I didn’t gain. I am now holding steady at 135.8. I am so proud of myself, and I really think I couldn’t have done it without this blog. 5.8 more pounds. I can do this.

I have to work a new business meeting tonight at 5:45, so who knows when I’ll get home. I need to shred tonight though because we’re going to Jacksonville and lord only knows when I’ll get to exercise. I really want to sneak in a run Saturday afternoon/evening if possible. I always love running in Brandon’s parents neighborhood. The houses are so big and pretty, plus I love seeing all the water.

HELL YEAH

135.8 this morning! I broke through the streak!

I was thinking about it on the way to work this morning, and I’ve lost 13lbs since we’ve been engaged. 7 of them have been in the last month or so. Whenever I’ve dieted in the past, it’s been for 2 weeks, I’d lose 5lbs, then I’d quit. I’ve never been this successful at losing weight. But this time, I’m also doing it the right way: diet, exercise, cheat days… Keeping track of EVERYTHING.

5 more pounds in 32 days. I got this.

Last night I ran the 3 mile loop from my apartment. Every 3 minutes, I did a 30 second “sprint” (I picked up my pace). I felt like most of the run I was a little slower than usual. When I got home, I did 30 crunches, 40 reverse crunches, and 30 bicycle crunches. Then I did w1d2 of hundred pushups:
Set 1: 10
Set 2: 12
Set 3: 8
Set 4: 8
Set 5: 20
Total: 58

Tonight I’m going to do the shred. Actually, I might try out Jillian’s new dvd since its on Brighthouse OnDemand. We’ll see though.

Just do NOT want to budge. Holding steady at 136.4

AF is scheduled to be here over the week & early next week. Maybe that’s screwing me up, but it seems too early for that.

Anyways, last night I did the Shred level 1. It felt a lot less intense after doing level 2 a few times. Tonight I’m going for a 3 mile run. I plan on adding a few 30 second sprints into the run every 3-5 minutes. I need something to make the time go quicker.

Food
Breakie: coffee, Fiber 1 bar
Lunch: 1/2 turkey & swiss sandwich; quaker quakes nacho cheese flavor; venti unsweet shaken black tea

Dinner: leftover crock-pot chicken, veggies & barley

I wasn’t even going to weigh-in this morning, but I’m glad I did. I’m sticking at 136.4. It makes me feel a little better about last night. Today is mass cleaning day at my apartment: laundry, dishes, bathroom, floors, everything. I also want to take a trip to Michaels to get materials for a few wedding DIY projects.

Last night we went to one of our favorite places to eat: Pizza Gallery. I let myself splurge. I had 4 mojitos (yeah, I know), garlic knots (with both marinara and alfredo sauce), and half of the small Chagall. The Chagall is a thai chicken pizza with broccoli and carrots on it. It is so delicious.

I did go for a run yesterday. I forgot what its like to run in the Florida heat. I eked out 3 miles, and ended up doing run/walk intervals because it was so miserable. Tonight, Jillian Michaels will beat the shit out of me. Instead of the Shred, I might do one of her longer videos thats on OnDemand. Or, I might do the Shred, then do one of the ab videos. We’ll see.

I cleaned the apartment all day. According to LoseIt, that’s exercise 😉 I also did 30 crunches, 30 reverse crunches, 40 bicycle crunches, and 20 pendulum lunges. I’m re-starting the Hundred Push Up Challenge. I’m doing it 5 days a week instead of 3 to get through it quicker.

Tonight I did:
